The legendary Greg Fedyski begins his first year at Regina as the Cross Country and Track and Field Associate Head Coach. A graduate of Northwestern University (1971), "Fed" led his Prospect Heights MacArthur Middle School Cross Country teams to an unprecedented 28 Illinois Elementary School Association State championships - Girls Cross Country (18), Boys Cross Country (7), and Girls Track and Field (3) - between 1974 and 2004. In addition, his MacArthur athletes won 52 individual state titles including setting several state records, and his Prospect Heights Running Club won 8 USATF national Cross Country team titles and 8 individual titles - solidifying Fedyski as one of the top distance running coaches in the nation.

Many of Fedyski's runners went on to become some of the greatest runners in IHSA history including 2008 Olympian Jorge Torres, the only 3-time Boys IHSA Cross Country champion and 4-time National Footlocker Cross Country Qualifer, and 10-time IHSA State champion Dana Miroballi, who won 4 state titles in Cross Country including setting the All-time 2.1 mile course record. Torres went on to win the National High School Footlocker Cross Country championship, an NCAA Cross Country title, and a Senior Men's United States Cross Country title. Torres' twin brother, Edwardo, was a 2-time Footlocker All-American. Other IHSA state champions Fedyski has developed through MacArthur or his running club include Kevin Havel, Jenny Zehr, Pat Joyce, Becky Coleman, and Amber Stack.
